Biography
Yuki Nakano was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1986. Graduated from Waseda University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in cultural anthropology. Lived in Tokyo, San Jose (USA), London (UK) and now living and working in Brisbane, Australia since 2008.

Statement
I work in fields on illustration/drawing/painting/crafting.
I create pictures to blur the line divided between craft and art, manga (cartoons) and fine art. I work with the styling techniques of manga (Japanese cartoon) and I draw inspiration from dreams, nature and culture. The female figures are self-portraits of my changing emotions. Materials I use range from watercolour, colour pencils, and craft materials such as stickers, glitters, hand-carved rubber stamps and origami papers.
